Bloomington in the Fall

I love Bloomington in the fall; all the trees have exploded in reds, oranges, and yellows.  For family night a couple weeks ago we just played in the leaves.  Lauren was pretty skeptical at first but she got the hang of it and I think enjoyed it; whenever we go outside now she goes and sits in the leaves and throws a few in the air.

The community has a lot of fun things going on all the time. Just earlier this week we went to a swap meet.  Anyone can bring things to donate and then if you donate you get a ticket to come back at certain hours the next day, after those hours it is open to anyone in the community to come.  There were all kinds of things: appliances, books, electronics, clothes, furniture, bikes, etc., and everything there is free, so you just show up, paw through things and take whatever you want.  Our ward does a similar thing at activities sometimes.  They call it an exchange table and you can bring and/or take anything you want. One man’s junk is another man’s treasure right?  All I can say is Lauren is getting some fun things for Christmas and it has all totaled to less than $30.
